SPRING 2004 READINGS & EVENTS

Unless otherwise noted, all events are free and open to the public, and are held at the Downtown Writer's Center, located in the Downtown YMCA at 340 Montgomery St., Syracuse, NY.

Join us for wonderful readings by our Spring 2004 visiting authors:
 
Tuesday, April 13, 7:00 p.m.
A poetry reading with Sean Thomas Dougherty, author of "Nightshift Belonging to Lorca" and "The Biography of Broken Things."

Friday, April 16, 7:00 p.m.
A poetry reading with Christina Pugh, author of "Rotary" and "Gardening at Dusk."

Sunday, April 18th, 2:00 p.m.
A poetry reading with Joe-Anne Mclaughlin, spring 2004 Writer-In-Residence, and author of "Jam" and "Banshee Diaries."

Friday, April 30th, 7:00 p.m.
A reading by acclaimed poet Cornelius Eady, National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize finalist, and author of "Brutal Imagination," "Victims of the Latest Dance Craze" and "The Gathering of My Name."

Friday, May 7th, 7:00 p.m.
A reading by poets Suzanne Cleary, author of "Keeping Time," and Georgia Popoff, author of "Coaxing Nectar from Longing."
All readings free and open to the public, and held at the Downtown Writer's Center in the Downtown YMCA, 340 Montgomery St., Syracuse. All events made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency. Cornelius Eady's reading made possible by the YMCA National Author's Tour, and the DeFrancisco Arts and Cultural Grants, administered by the Cultural Resources Council.
